Safe Kids Northwest Indiana and Franciscan Health is hosting car seat safety event on May 29th, 2025 at Franciscan Health Michigan City! Join us from 3-6pm to get your car seat professionally checked by a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST). The CPST will work with you to teach you how to properly install your car seat(s). Children must be present at the appointment to offer appropriate guidance and determine if there’s a need. A car seat safety check typically takes around 20 minutes per child to complete a full assessment and provide education to caregiver. Upon completion of your appointment, you should be able to install your car seat(s) safely. Disclaimer: Car seats are not guaranteed to everyone who makes an appointment.
